The role

We're hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead to own how ZYGO finds, attracts, and closes the engineers and operators who will build the future of physical AI. You'll work directly with the founders, building the pipeline that lets us scale the company across more robot types, more deployments, and more verticals through 2026 and beyond.

This is not a back-office HR role. It's a front-of-house, relationship-driven role for someone who likes being out in the world, in conversations, at events, and on calls with candidates before anyone else has spotted them.

What you'll do

  • Own recruitment end-to-end: from understanding what the founders and team leads actually need, to sourcing, to first conversations, to closing.
  • Build and maintain a living talent network in robotics, embedded, AI, and adjacent fields. Know who's worth talking to before we have a seat open.
  • Represent ZYGO at job fairs, university events, etc. You're the first face candidates meet.
  • Source actively across LinkedIn, GitHub, research communities, and your own network.
  • Screen candidates rigorously. Pass only the right people to Erik, Arne, and the team leads with a clear read on fit, motivation, and level.
  • Partner with the founders to anticipate hiring needs.
  • Help shape employer branding: what we say about ZYGO as a place to work, where we say it, and how we show up.
  • Track what works.

What you bring

  • Recruitment experience, preferably in a startup or scale-up. Bonus points for tech, robotics, or deep-tech hiring.
  • A real network, or a clear track record of building one fast.
  • Comfort hiring for senior technical roles.
  • Strong instincts for people. You read motivation, ambition, and fit quickly and accurately.
  • An ownership mindset. You don't wait for a process. You build the process as you go.
  • Energy for events, travel, and being in the room where the talent is.
